Using one of our Zebra TC22 or TC26 handheld scanners? Great choice! These scanners are super easy to use — they basically work in the dark too. In this tutorial, we’ll shine a light on things, but keep it nice and simple!
How do you turn the scanner on?
Connecting to WiFi
Which app do you need to scan?
Charging the scanner
Inside the box, you’ll find a power adapter, a USB-C charging cable, and the scanner itself (with pistol grip included). You’ll find the power button on the top right side of the Zebra scanner. Just hold it down until the screen lights up.
Tap the Settings icon on the scanner’s screen. The first option you see will be the one you need. Pick your WiFi network from the list and enter the password to connect.
Good to know: If there are many WiFi networks at your location, it may take some time to establish a connection the first time.
To scan QR codes, you’ll need the Saludo app from Invitado. It’s the light blue icon in the top left corner of your screen. Just tap the icon and log in with the QR code you got from the event organizer or your contact at Invitado.
Want to know how the app works? Check out the tutorial Mobile scanning on premises. It also shows you how to print login codes yourself.
Got a QR code in view in the Saludo app? Just pull the yellow trigger on the pistol grip to scan it.
With a full battery, the scanner will last about eight hours. We recommend charging it fully before your first guests arrive. Use the included adapter and cable. The USB-C port is on the bottom of the device.
